Heading along the road to PCB looking for the small shop which the people at Kartika Batik pointed out as selling supplies to make batik, we stumbled on this wau gallery owned by one of Kelantan’s famous wau makers.
These giant kites are iconic of Kelantan and are totally hand-made with colored paper attached to thin bamboo frames. They’re really pretty and quite expensive. A small one costs RM 100.
There’s a kite festival every May and these giant kites must look really beautiful soaring across Kelantan’s blue sky.
